I was born in the mountains of Vermont, slate country, and not far from thriving marble and granite quarries as well. (Yes, I know the picture was taken in Colorado, and a long time ago now, but it's a favorite from a good time with my wife, Debbie!).
The great-grandson of an immigrant stone cutter that built bridges in New Jersey, (who knew?!).
I grew up with a love for the environment, farming, hiking, camping, hunting, just being "in" it all the time.
I served in the Marine Corps Reserve during the end of the Cold War and through the Gulf War, when I was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. I went to college in that time studying environmental science and wildlife biology in Maine, Oregon, and Vermont.
I got involved in this great industry much by 'accident' if you believe that...I don't! I started as a sawman for a local fabricator and the journey for the three+ decades since has been full of different companies, different roles, different business strategies, different products, different relationships, thousands of tons of stone and tons of experience! Self-employed since 2012 and in an average of 150 homes a year.... there isn't much I haven't seen!
With a love for the environment, for the business, for the natural products we can utilize in so many ways...that is why Green Mountain Stone LLC is here.
I want to bring some of that to you. I want you to have some of the most beautiful, natural, enduring products man has ever crafted from the earth. And, if your home already has them - I want to help you understand the options for maintenance, modifications, and utility for the products you have.
Educate first, sell second - just like 30 years ago! I look forward to helping you where I can.
